Shipping policy
GENERAL
Orders are shipped out within 1-2 business days, if all items are in stock. If there are any problems with your order, we will contact you immediately by email or telephone.
Alternative shipping methods will be presented at check out. Shipping charges are generated from an electronic quote provided by the USPS or UPS based on your order's estimated weight.
If you need expedited delivery, or tracking, for your International order you will need to pay for the appropriate shipping method.
SHIPPING INSURANCE
Knitty Noddy is not responsible for shipments once they leave our premises, up to and including the point of delivery. We strongly recommend that our customers purchase shipping insurance to cover lost or damaged packages!
Shipping insurance can be purchased during the normal checkout process, which allows us to purchase insurance from a third party insurance provider other than the carrier. Insurance covers all products in the shipment, but not the cost of shipping or the cost of insurance.
Loss or damage of uninsured packages FOR ANY REASON is NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF KNITTY NODDY, all non-insured purchases are made with the understanding of and agreement with this policy.
FREE SHIPPING
Free shipping will be by Knitty Noddy's choice of shipping method. Liquids, heavy, and fragile items are NOT ELIGIBLE for free shipping at our discretion. Free shipping may not include tracking, which limits your recourse in the event of a lost package.
United States: Free shipping is offered for orders over $25, unless the order contains any ineligible items.
International: Free shipping is offered for orders over $175, unless the order contains any ineligible items.
Our free shipping offer depends on our ability to ship efficiently. If you place multiple orders of small quantities for a multi-skein project, we will charge the actual shipping cost for each shipment after the first one.
INTERNATIONAL
Shipping costs DO NOT include customs duties, taxes, and related fees, which vary from country to country.
International customers are responsible for ALL customs duties, taxes, and other fees incurred after a package is mailed. Additional charges billed by the destination country are not predictable, not part of what we can pay ahead of time in shipping costs, and will not be refunded if charged. We advise international customers to investigate and prepare for additional fees that will be due to their destination country.
We cannot mark packages with inaccurate values or as "gift" since it would get our business in trouble!
TRACKING
We ship most orders with delivery tracking. Cheaper options may not include insurance and tracking, which limits your recourse in the event of a lost package. Customers are encouraged to take advantage of additional insurance options which may be presented at checkout.
When applicable, your tracking number will be automatically emailed to you when your package has been prepared for shipping. Please check your inbox for this message, which will provide a tracking link. Tracking information will be available only once your package enters the USPS mail stream. If you don't see your shipment confirmation email, please look in your spam folder.
LOST/DAMAGED PACKAGES
Packages lost or damaged during shipping are out of our control and this does, fortunately infrequently, happen. While we cannot take responsibility for the shipping company's error, we will work with you and the USPS or UPS to try to find a resolution. This is why we strongly recommend that you purchase shipping insurance, to cover lost or damaged packages. Shipping insurance can be purchased during the normal check out process.
Protecting packages after delivery is your responsibility. Porch piracy is a growing problem, unfortunately! Please have your package shipped somewhere secure, and pick it up promptly. Theft of a package after the USPS certifies it was successfully delivered won't qualify for an insurance claim
